Nikon D800E Shadows - How far can they be pulled?

This is quite incredible really, as not only has the D800E retained an amazing amount of detail in the shadows, it has done so without the usual ugly noise that we see so often when shadows are pulled.
We should also note how well the highlights have held up, as they have not yet blown. Very impressive considering that the technique used in this sample was applied across the entire frame with no defined localisation to the shadow area.
Results like this however, are NOT an excuse to "shoot bad and fix later", as best results will always be obtained by accurate exposure.
