It had been a long week of colourless sunrise & sunset skies for the Sunshine Coast, but this particular day showed promise, as high cloud had formed throughout the day.
So I figured it was worth the hike up Wild Horse Mountain, in an attempt to gain a sunset panorama of the other Glasshouse Mountrains that were close by. Sadly though, as sunset approached, a solid area of cloud formed and killed any chance of me being able to creat the image that I was looking for.
Rather the leave early (as the other photographers did), I followed my rule and stayed until dark, as the "after sun" can often provide some unexpected images. This image was taken just before total darkness and using a very long exposure. It was if an artist's brush had painted the sky. - Cheers, Russell.
