Some may think that landscape photographers are organised and punctual, especially when it comes to sunrises. One usually strives to arrive on location well before first light, scoping out potential compositions and shots -- at least that's the plan. This particular morning Russ and I had woken late - we were meant to meet a group of other photographers (who, funnily enough, were all early and on time) at Mt Buffalo, about 30min out of Bright. It was one of the rare moments where the trusty Prado dropped its sheepskin clothing and tore up the mountain (controlled, of course), and luckily we reached our location JUST in time.
Considering we were sharing this location with a large group of photographers, I went out of my way to spend 10 minutes seeking unique compositions. The ground was slippery, ice covered everything, and it was precarious. Eventually I settled on this composition, making the most of the sunrise that just never seemed to end. - Bernie
