I can't believe that we almost missed this sunrise. Bernie and I were staying in Bright with a photography group and I must have worked late the night before, as my 3am auto body clock didn't wake me as usual.
Looking out the window of the cabin we could see a low glow in the sky and this meant that we had to move! We had already planned the location and knew that it would take at least 20 minutes to get there. The drive was painful, as the sky in the rear view mirror evolved into something spectactular and yet we could not seem to cover the klm's fast enough. (Speed limits and safety being the primary concern of course)
Thankfully, the pre-sunrise glow was still to reach it best when we arrived. Victorians are certainly lucky when it comes sunrises and sunsets, as their colour seems to go on for ever down here. - Russell
