Angourie sits at one end of one of my favourite chunks of coast in Northern NSW. The tiny coastal town (which if you ever do visit, make sure you have dinner at Frangipan restaurant) is a "end of the road" town - no through traffic, meaning it's sleepy and reserved. What lies just past the town is the northern tip of Yuraygir National Park -- 60 kilometres of striking cliffs, rocky headlands, isolated beaches and quiet lake systems, set against a backdrop of forests, heaths, estuaries and wetlands, make Yuraygir the longest stretch of undeveloped coastline in NSW. Exactly my type of thing!
This shot is from my last day at Angourie (having spent 3 nights), and also the last shot of the day -- I like to end my coastal shoot by whacking on a 10-stop (or 6-stop) neutral density filter which allows the camera to grab some ultra-long exposures. - Bernie
